We are 1 mile from the town and beach with miles of golden sands which wins national awards as one of the cleanest in the UK. The Cottages Ashcott and Burcott are 17th century and most of the features have been maintained. They are spacious and comfortable, giving that home from home feeling. They have large gardens set out to mainly lawn with large patios and patio furniture, surrounded by some mature trees and shrubs which add to their seclusion.There may have been a settlement here in roman times. A few miles north at Brean Down, there are considerable Roman remains., including a temple to MIDERVA. Burnham was a Royal Domain of King Alfred and mentioned in the Doomsday book.
