South Devon is one of the sunniest places in the UK; even during the cooler months the temperatures are often higher than in the rest of the country. There is beautiful countryside to explore and the coast, including the South West Coast Path, is easily accessible. Dartmoor is within easy driving distance. Teignmouth has a resident population of about 14,500 people. It has not been spoiled by urban sprawl, mainly due to its sheltered geographical position, although larger places, such as Torquay, seven miles away, and the historic city of Exeter, fifteen miles, are within easy reach.The Sail Loft is a newly-built holiday home, designed for families, which can accommodate up to 6 people, plus cot. It is situated in the heart of the conservation area in Teignmouth, easily accessible by rail with the main line station about 400m away or via the M5. The house is only a few minutes’ walk from the award-winning sandy beach and other attractions such as the Victorian pier, public spaces with lawns, flowerbeds, children’s play areas, tennis courts and a bowling green. There are also cliff walks, a theatre, a museum, an outdoor swimming pool and a leisure centre.The town centre, with its attractive pedestrianised areas with shops and restaurants, is a five minute walk and there are also interesting old backstreets to explore, all accessible on foot. The busy working port at the mouth of the estuary is a lively area with fishing boats, boats for hire and waterside inns.The Sail Loft has a car port and a garage, suitable for two medium size cars. On the ground floor there is a cloakroom/wc and a utility room, having a washing machine and tumble drier. On the floor above there is a large reception room with two sofas, chairs, a folding table, a wide-screen teletext TV with surround sound, video and DVD.
