Aldheim Cottage is the second of four terraced self-catering cottages, set in open countryside close to the Wiltshire/Somerset border. Each cottage consists of a lounge/dining room with TV, DVD and music centre, a separate fully equipped kitchen and downstairs WC. In the kitchen are a microwave, electric hob and oven, a fridge and a freezer. Upstairs are two bedrooms, set as a double and twin, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. The cottages are newly built to a high standard, with clean modern lines and furnishing. The cottages have under-floor heating upstairs and down. At the end of the row is a laundry with washing machines and a dryer, and ironing facilities.The cottages are set in three acres of the owners’ property, which is in turn surrounded by open countryside. Within the grounds are well stocked fishing ponds, which are available to our guests, with equipment available at no charge. A fence surrounds the cottages with a gate providing security for parents with children. There are a number of barbeques and guests are invited to make use of the grounds for this purpose.It is our policy to include all charges within the hire charge. There are absolutely no additional charges made for heating or cleaning, and linen and towels are included. There is a small but growing library of DVDs, CDs and books. The cottages are all wireless broadband enabled. We ask that guests do not smoke in the cottages, and regret that we cannot accommodate pets. The cottages are on the outskirts of the market town of Frome, within easy reach of the World Heritage City of Bath; and Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar are all within an hours’ drive. Merely minutes away is Longleat House with its animal safari park, and a further forty minutes drive will take you to Stonehenge. Frome itself is only minutes away, and provides a sports centre with a baby pool as well as a 25 metre swimming pool and fitness facilities. There is also a cinema and two small theatres.
