Just a 3 minute walk from the market square of Stow and surrounded by spectacular countryside, both driving and walking are a joy. The old stocks on the green and the Market Cross in the square are reminders of medieval times. Buildings which date back as far as the 10th century are now home to many fine Inns and gastro pubs, some award winning and serving fine local produce. Interior design, antique furniture, art galleries and independent fashion shops are a treat for the keen shopper. Also home of the famous 'Scotts of Stow', the Garden Co. and Innovations mail order companies all located around the market square. In Digbeth Street stands The Royalist, said to be the oldest Inn in England. 947AD. A welcome package awaits you on arrival, with homemade cake, tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter and a bottle of wine. Available to order. The picturesque villages of Broadway, Chipping Campden, Bourton on the Water, Burford, Moreton-in-Marsh and The Slaughters are all close-by. The towns of Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon are both within an easy drive. The National Trust properties at Hidcote, Snowshill Manor, and Chastleton House are nearby. Events:The spacious sitting room with exposed Cotswold stone walls, large brick Inglenook fireplace and log burning stove creates a warm inviting ambience. Lit upon arrival in winter. Door opening to Kitchen. The master bedroom has exposed stone walls, stone mullioned windows and beamed ceiling. A 6ft. wide King-sized bed with comfortable American patchwork quilts and crisp white linens. Dressing table with mirror, freestanding wardrobe with chest of drawers. The other double bedroom has 2 - 3ft. wide Single beds also with comfortable American patchwork quilts and crisp linens. The bathroom comprises a white panel bath with wall mounted powerful shower over. A pedestal wash basin with mirror, shaver point, heated towel rail and W.C.
