About Abbots Court Farm and Deerhurst Cottages

Deerhurst Cottages are situated on our 230 acre organic dairy farm, on the banks of the River Severn in the quiet village of Deerhurst. They are ideally located for exploring the Cotswolds, the Forest of Dean and the Malvern Hills and within easy reach of the Spa town of Cheltenham, the City of Gloucester and the medieval town of Tewkesbury.

During Spring of 2005 the old cart shed was converted to provide two cottages offering exceptional accommodation in this peaceful and delightful part of the English countryside.

It is impossible to list all the activities available but they extend from doing absolutely nothing except enjoying the peace and quiet, to the frenzy and excitement of a day at the home of National Hunt Racing at nearby Cheltenham Race Course. Why not play a little golf? Walk the many footpaths through the farm, neighbouring fields and along the River Severn? (The Severn Way is the longest riverside walk in the country) Fish the River? Explore the legend of the 'Deerhurst Dragon'? (Maybe not such a legend!) Visit Odda's Chapel and the historically important Anglo-Saxon Priory Church of St Mary at Deerhurst? Cross the fields to the site of the 1471 Civil War Battle of Tewkesbury? The list is endless, there is something here for everyone!

The towns and villages nearby contain a large variety of pubs and restaurants where you can indulge yourselves with menus ranging from 'cordon bleu' to 'bangers and mash'. If you prefer to cater for yourself the cottages are equipped with up to date kitchens with 'all the mod cons'!

We look forward to welcoming you to Deerhurst Cottages and, if in the meantime, you wish to contact us directly please email or give us a call.
