• Adjacent bathroom with bath with shower over, WC, handbasin, and heated towel rail.  Duvets, bed linen, towels, tea towels, washing up liquid and other basic kitchen utensils are provided.  We also provide an iron and ironing board and hair dryer.
• Pretty railed courtyard to the front with table and chairs and views over the estate - perfect place to leave your bicycles!  Outside lighting means you can enjoy this courtyard long into summer evenings.
• Lovely pretty walled cottage garden at the back, again with outside lighting.  Dine alfresco on the outside wooden table and chairs or just enjoy the tranquillity and views of the Mansion House and listen to the birds singing and the estate clock tolling the hour.
• There is an allocated parking space at the cottage.

The whole property is decorated, carpeted and furnished to the highest level.   This is our "second home" and has been decorated and furnished with flair and individuality for our comfort and that of our guests.  The reaction we get when inviting people into the cottage is "Wow, what a lovely homely feel this cottage has - we just want to kick our shoes off and relax on the sofa."

Take a morning or evening walk over the estate and enjoy the delightful formal gardens and grounds which are tended by a team of professional gardeners.  The gardens feature ponds, beautiful vistas, rose gardens and fabulous seasonal planting and there is even a communal walled gardens with seats and benches where you can enjoy a picnic and spot deer and other wildlife.  The estate is private and not open to the public so this is a unique opportunity to enjoy this most beautiful hidden gem.

Summer Cottage is situated within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with many fantastic walks and drives around the local area.  If you have never been to the area before you will be amazed at the many attractions the Cotswolds has to offer as well  the wealth of fine restaurants, cosy tearooms and English pubs to enjoy.

We have a lovely local village, Blockley, about 1 1/2 miles away with its own village shop and tea rooms where you will find free internet access and a range of local produce and newspapers for you to stock up for your stay.  This village is where you will find the renowned Mill Dene Gardens and two pubs serving excellent food.  For supermarket shopping the town of Moreton in Marsh has an excellent supermarket which specialises in stocking local produce as well as the more well known brands.

The market towns of Moreton in Marsh (4 miles) Chipping Campden (2 1/2 miles) and Stow on the Wold are lovely places to visit for quaint shops,  restaurants, tea rooms, pubs, markets, festivals, antique fairs and more.  From Spring onwards there are many pretty villages around where they have their village gardens open to the public at the weekends."Must sees" around the area are the many National Trust properties and RHS gardens including Snowshill Manor and Gardens, Batsford Arborethum and Falconry Centre, Hidcote Manor Gardens, Sezincote Gardnes, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Cotswolds Motor Museum, Chastleton House and the Sherborne Estate.  The tourist mecca of Bourton on the Water has many attractions and you could easily spend a day there admiring the scenery, dining, shopping and visiting the attractions.

Just 15 miles away you will find the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford on Avon, which is also home to the Royal Shakespeare Company.  There are many places of interest associated with Shakespeare in Stratford on Avon and you can enjoy sightseeing trips by boat along the river.

A little further afield you will find brilliant shopping in Cheltenham, Bath, and Oxford. 
Blenheim Palace and Warwick Castle are also very interesting places to visit.   Summer Cottage is also well placed for commuting to the NEC in Birmingham which is the place for large shows and concerts.

In fact, if you have never visited the area before I guarantee you will find so much to do you will need a second visit!
