Tour of The Bothy

We enter the Bothy through the front door, and climb the stairs into the spacious and airy living room with its high beamed ceilings. As you can see, it is comfortably furnished, and has views towards the sea to the south.

A real log fire in an inglenook gives a nice focus to the room for winter stays (logs supplied), and the double aspect of the room means you can make the most of the daylight. A widescreen TV and DVD player are provided.

Through the archway, we find the fully-equipped kitchen, and the dining area with a glazed stable door overlooking the former farm buildings towards the distant hills in the west.

For instant refreshment on your arrival, we provide all you need to make tea or coffee.

Down the staircase again, we come to the main entrance hall. Either side of the hallway, you'll find the two cosy bedrooms, one twin with en-suite shower room, and one double with en-suite bathroom.

Self-catering breaks at The Bothy

"The Bothy", a beautifully-converted former granary sleeping four people, is the latest addition to "Hill Barn", with wonderful views across the fields and valleys towards the sea, and its own sunny terrace.

Set in the acre grounds of Hill Barn amidst rolling countryside, The Bothy is a mile west of historic Lyme Regis, with its famous fossils and a selection of interesting family-owned shops and things to do. It sits astride the borders of Devon and Dorset, and is a short walk from the famous Undercliff and South West Coastal Path at Ware.

The high standard of the accommodation is reflected in our 4* rating from the ETC.

Accommodation is arranged with two en-suite bedrooms downstairs, and upstairs living accommodation to take advantage of the views. It consists of:

an entrance lobby with washing machine,
a double bedroom, with 5' bed and en-suite bathroom,
a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room,
a fully-fitted kitchen with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwashing machine, microwave, toaster, etc, and a dining area with stable door overlooking the former farm buildings,
a double-aspect comfortable lounge with television, and log burning feature fireplace. French doors overlook the fields to the south, towards the sea, and a stable door to the north opens on external stairs to the terrace with its table, chairs and parasol.

Bedlinen, towels, iron and ironing board are supplied. However, you are requested to supply your own beach towels.

Prices are inclusive of gas and electricity, and The Bothy is fully centrally-heated and double-glazed for winter holidays.

We regret we are unable to accommodate pets, and there is no smoking in The Bothy.
