Plum Tree Cottage is a Grade II listed building of the late 18th century. Originally two cottages, it now provides very comfortable accommodation near the SW Coastal Path, Priest’s Way, Durlston Country Park and the steam railway station at Herston Halt. The Vista indoor swimming pool is just around the corner and there are fields to walk your dog.

The cottage is suitable for up to 6 adults with 2 children and a baby. There is off-road parking for 1 car and an enclosed southwest facing garden with lawn, fruit trees and shrubs.

The dining room has a planked ceiling, TV, VCR and gas fire and leads through to the lounge and kitchen. The double aspect lounge has exposed joists, a wood burning stove, arm chairs, settees, hi-fi with CD player, stereo 26” TV, VCR and DVD player plus a selection of DVDs, videos, games, books and toys provided for your enjoyment. Off the lounge the attractive conservatory provides further seating.

The fitted kitchen looks onto the garden and has two fridge/freezers, gas oven/hob, combination microwave, dishwasher, all the usual appliances, kitchen table and chairs. Opposite the kitchen is a small utility/cloakroom with a washing machine. The backdoor opens onto the patio with BBQ and a short flight of stone steps leads up onto the lawn.

On the first floor the master bedroom has a 5’ double bed and an optional cot or a 2’6” folding bed. The adjacent bathroom has a shower over the bath. The second bedroom has two 2’6” children’s beds and a shower room with toilet and basin. The third bedroom has a 4’6” bed and the fourth which is entered via the shared shower room, has two full size 3’ single beds. These rooms are up steep stairs in the fairytale attic with exposed beams and planked, sloping ceilings. Each bedroom has a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside units; two have a TV. Showers have thermostatic controls. Stair gates provided. The beds have duvets, pillows and mattress covers. Bed linen and towels are provided for an easy holiday leaving you more space in the car. For families with a baby there is a travel cot, bath, potty and highchair stored away until needed. The woodburner, gas central heating and thick stone walls make the cottage suitable for any time of the year. The rent includes all gas and electricity.
