This small Purbeck stone cottage, built in 1675, is located in the historic village of Langton Matravers. It is a true smugglers cottage – a smugglers nook having been discovered in the loft space during renovation. The award-winning beaches of Swanage (two miles) and Studland (four miles) are within easy reach. The cottage is a short walk (20 mins) across green fields to the beautiful coastline at Dancing Ledge. The ancient village of Langton Matravers is completely surrounded by beautiful countryside that has retained its character and tranquility. It is an ideal base from which to discover the unspoiled beauty of the Isle of Purbeck. The cottage has recently been renovated and retains many original features including stone open fireplace, flagstone flooring and exposed wooden beams. The fully fitted kitchen to the rear of the cottage is equipped with an electric cooker and hob, w-machine and fridge (ice box only). The modern shower room has a shower, WC and w-basin.
