Relax and unwind on this lovely farm set in rolling country close to Ancient Saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury. The award winning cottages are beautifully furnished with central heating. They have lots of character, old beams, log fires. Views from the farm are stunning, panoramic views of the chalk downlands of Cranbourne Chase and patchwork of fields nestling below. The walking on and around the farm is wonderful. Guests return year after year to wander the local paths. The farm abounds with wildlife. Deer and buzzards are common. Although notoriously shy, many have glimpsed Mr Brock rummaging on field edge. It is marvellous piece of country. As a good friend says "A day out of Dorset is a day wasted". Many local villages have excellent pubs serving good food. These include The Crown at Marnhull, The Pure Drop Inn made famous in Thomas Hardy novels. We have guides of walks which start, and more importantly finish, at some of these Inns! There is a hard tennis court and games barn with table tennis and pool. We provide guests with free membership of a superb local leisure centre with swimming pool. They also have a full programme for children in the summer holidays.
