Charming stone cottage, newly renovated and beautifully furnished with quiet garden, patio & BBQ. Great walking, and excellent pub nearby.Chideock Cottage is an ideal place to stay, there are lovely walks, beautiful views, lots of wildlife, fishing and golf nearby, and of course the 3 village pubs, shop and tea room, all on your doorstep. The village of Chideock is situated on the Golden Cap Estate, which belongs to the National Trust, it’s a friendly village that has it all! Come down and explore the delights of our West Dorset and East Devon Jurassic Coastline.Chideock Cottage is to be found opposite the 16th Century George Inn, located down little lane and less than a mile to the beach at Seatown where you can explore the coastal footpaths to Eype and West Bay, or to Golden Cap, the highest point along the south coast and Charmouth and enjoy the stunning views of the Lyme Bay & Lyme Regis. Nearby the town of Bridport is very handy for shopping and buzzy on busy market days, Wednesdays & Saturdays. You can fossil hunting our local beaches, enjoy the famous Cobb harbour at Lyme Regis and visit the new pier and fishing harbour at West Bay. The cottage has a large lounge/dining area with nice comfy sofas, new gas fireplace, and pine dining furniture, 2 colour TV (one upstairs), DVD player, music centre and books for your enjoyment. A lovely new kitchen, well-equipped with a gas Aga to cook on and patio doors that lead out into the garden, which is quiet, private and south-facing with a large patio & BBQ area. Sit and listen to the birds!Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single and a optional pullout 3’ guest bed, plus bathroom and toilet with power shower.Whatever the time of year, whatever the weather, you will find plenty to do and see.Lovely food served at The George Inn, guests are entitled to 10% discount on food.Car parking in the High Season Low Season Open All Year, Closed at Christmas, Closed at New Year Cottage |
