Five holiday cottages, Tourist Board inspected and approved, stand in private grounds of around 4 acres of mature wooded garden. This includes many and varied hybrid rhododendrons and azaleas, particularly beautiful from Apr to Jun. The estate backs onto Ringwood Forest, which is ideal for recreation, joggers and dog walkers. The market town of Ringwood, with a market each Wed, stands on the edge of the New Forest 1 mile away. Bournemouth is a 10-mile drive. The river Avon runs through Ringwood,centre of an area offering many sporting activities (fishing, riding, swimming, tennis, squash, golf, dry ski-slopes), and eating out facilities. All houses contain a book of local attractions. Our accommodation consists of 4 genuine Finnish log houses and Rose Cottage, which has been renovated, in the Scandinavian summer cottage style with wooden exterior and half-panelled interior. Built, equipped and adorned in Scandinarian fashion, houses have high standards of insulation, and storage heater(s) in all houses ensure that they are warm and cosy in Winter.
