Fresh country air and breathtaking views, sets the scene at Greenwell. This family farm welcomes you to share our piece of the countryside. Situated in the Dartmoor National Park yet only 8 miles from Plymouth. The farmhouse itself, dates back to the 15th century. Greenwell is a working farm, which guests are welcome to view and even participate at times. Cattle, sheep and Dartmoor ponies are kept, some of which graze on the open moors and of course we have working sheep dogs. Rabbits are often seen playing in the fields and if you’re lucky, a fox or badger may decide to pay a visit and the birds are always around to sing you a song. Walking is unlimited either on your own or guided. Riding is easily arranged at one of many riding stables on the moors. Stabling can be provided at Greenwell if you wish to bring your horse for a holiday. Fishing and shooting are easily accessible. Cycle hire is locally available and even skiing can be arranged. Visit Buckland Abbey one of many National Trust properties here about. The Abbey was once owned by Sir Francis Drake (this farm was part of the estate). The Garden House is an visit for keen gardeners. There are many other popular attractions such the Plymouth Marine Aquarium, Morwellham Quay and the Eden Project. Swim at the Meadowlands Leisure Centre at Tavistock or enjoy simply messing about in the River Plym at Cadover Bridge. Yelverton has an excellent public transport link, which is almost 2 miles from Greenwell. This centre can service all your daily needs. As single storey accommodation these cottages are suitable for many disabilities. The farm is fortunate to have a natural Dartmoor spring water supply. Sorry but we do not permit smoking in the cottage and prefer not to have pets inside. Meadow Cottage Low Season High Season For More InformationVisit Property's WebsiteSpecial Features
