The Haybarton Annexe is attached to Bidwell Farm and has been given the highest grading by the English Tourist Board of 5 stars.
History of the Haybarton The Haybarton barn was converted only five years ago to a very high standard and all the furnishings are new and in keeping with the period. No expense has been spared to make this annexe the very best accommodation that can be offered to any family. Bedrooms 1 large upstairs bedroom with 5 ft bed and en-suite power shower room 1 ground floor bedroom with twin beds, en suite and french windows on to the garden. Lounge Large comfortable beamed lounge with log fire. Full Sky digital television programmes. Utility room with washing and drying machines. Kitchen Large beamed farmhouse kitchen with a large pine dining table.Dishwasher and fridge freezer, French windows onto garden and picnic table and barbecue for summer evenings. Large play area for children. Garden and Pond The Haybarton has an extensive garden with a trout pond. The pond is positioned higher than the farmhouse and therefore far enough away not to be an immediate danger to small children. Children are not allowed to be unsupervised in the area of the pond, although of course we welcome supervised visits to this important part of the garden. We welcome any keen fishermen to try their skill at fly fishing. No charge is made for fishing but we have some house rules and would like guests to check with us first. The Haybarton annexe is attached to the main farmhouse but has its own entrance and garden and we allow you as much privacy as you wish. We are there if you need us but otherwise we leave you to enjoy your stay. We love to hear the children playing and their parents laughing well into the evening. It simply tells us that they are enjoying their stay. The farmhouse is set in five acres of tranquil countryside with its own trout pond. There are glorious unspoiled views from all aspects and only a few minutes walk from the centre of the pretty Domesday farming village of Upottery with its thatched cottages and ancient inn.
