The Littlecourt is a gracious Regency house situated a short walk from the sea front at Sidmouth. Built in 1802 for the Duke and Duchess of St. Albans, the Littlecourt has been carefully modernised retaining the elegance and charm, which is characteristic of this beautiful part of the country.Sidmouth’s attraction lies not only in the unspoilt and less commercialised town but also in the natural beauty of the coastline, countryside and the gardens, which more then once have earned it the ‘Britain in Bloom’ award. The area is one of Britain’s loveliest, for relaxing in, walking around town, or touring more extensively in the West Country.The Littlecourt is a haven of peace and tranquillity, and is enviably situated in close proximity to the pebble beaches, the esplanade, shops, theatre, cinema, gardens, putting, croquet and bowling greens, golf course, cricket field, tennis courts and indoor heated swimming pool.There are many excellent restaurants, tearooms and pubs within walking distance of the cottages. For the more adventurous there are numerous eating-places within a 12-mile radius.The Cottages, which form part of an historic Regency house, are set in beautifully maintained tranquil gardens, with many pleasant seating areas in which to relax and unwind. The five luxury self-contained cottages are decorated and furnished to a high standard. They range in size from 1 to 3 bedrooms, each has a comfortable lounge, dining room and fully fitted kitchen equipped with fridge, oven and a microwave. All cottages are centrally heated and have colour TV’s and radios. Most bedrooms are en suite and we supply duvets, bed linen and towels at no extra cost.We will be happy to order any provisions in advance of your arrival.
