Each bedroom sleeps from 2 to 5, some en-suite plus another bedroom off room 3. This is ideal for up to 16 people in couples plus optional children or 8 single adults (or 16 sharing rooms but not beds). Other variations possible!

There is a public sports field over the quiet lane. It's visible from our patio. Over the quiet lane there are several football pitches, a cricket pitch, tennis courts and even a bowling green. Check with the clubs for availability.

We have a mixture of baths, Jacuzzi and/or power showers, (some double size). Refreshing.

Is is such a great place to cook, eat or chat. Complete with a lovely large AGA oven.

Being big holiday home renters our selves we know what it's like when everyone in a group wants to cook at the same time so we've provided a second kitchen with conventional oven and hob.

At The Cleeve we have libraries of books, videos, DVD films and games to choose from.

Around the size of a tennis court, wide open with views to the hills and the sea yet secluded and large enough for all sorts of fun and games.

We have 2 acres in total: with lots of trees and terracing with a path winding down to our private footbridge, some wild parts (to encourage wildlife) and some tame parts!

You like somewhere to put your food so we kept the big walk in pantry. At The Cleeve there are also lots of cupboards in the kitchens to choose from.

We have a washing machine, clothes dryer, freezer, several fridges, big AGA, conventional oven and hobs, microwave ovens, fast commercial (easy to use) dishwasher, several TVs, DVD players, video, radio and more.

At The Cleeve we have our own private parking for up to around 8 cars by the house and further free public parking can be found by our footbridge.

There's a public childrens play area over the lovely quiet lane. It's visible from our patio.

Now there's no more having to drive to restaurants or pubs, you're on holiday, take it easy! You have all the pleasure but, with The Cleeve's unique secluded position, convenience and privacy come together.

Exmoor is among the UK's greatest areas of outstanding beauty, (just come and see why).

Many beaches of all kinds are easy to get to. We have sandy, rock pool, pebble (like Brighton), surfing, fossil hunting, secluded and just about any kind of beach you could wish for.

There are references not just in the Doomsday book but the Saxon Chronicles too. We are also located in a Mesolithic site, much older even than the pyramids of Egypt! Visit the petrified forest and much more.

See nature at its best. A handy spot for the Quantocks and Brendon Hills too. Even Dartmoor isn't so far away.

Hawkcombe and Porlock make up one of the greatest places you'll find to stay anywhere in the world, (we looked high and low).

For example, you'll find our area listed in The Readers Digest book, "The most amazing places in Britain's countryside".

You can go directly from the lovely lawn to a bridleway. You could take the winding garden path over our private bridge across the lovely stream and saunter up the quiet country lane deeper into our spectacular setting. You could even spend weeks without the need to drive anywhere to start and end your treks.

There are 3 great pubs, one dating back to the 12th century, several restaurants and plenty of shops for everyday needs. You've probably stayed in places where facilities like this are miles away but when you're on holiday you just want things to be convenient and, at The Cleeve, they are.

Not just all the usual superb offerings in the Exmoor hills and our own gardens there's still more. Just a short walk over the quiet lane and visible from our elevated patio there are the village sports facilities including a tennis, football, cricket, bowls and rugby clubs. Liaise with the clubs for availability.

There is a large public children's lovely play area just across the lane (and visible from The Cleeve) which is ideal for young children. Of course, your children staying here can also play in our garden, just keep an eye on them especially smaller ones so you can find them! Remember that there's a lovely stream and some banks as well as the level lawned areas.

You get the best of both worlds by staying close to the border of the great counties of Devon and Somerset.

Exmoor has some of the lowest light pollution in the country and that makes our area wonderful for watching the stars, trying to spot celestial bodies and for letting out the budding astronomer in you.
