Torridge House Farm Cottages in Devon offers a family holiday that is truly child friendly, where there is a warm welcome and plenty of animal involvement.Children are especially welcome; everyone can join in to help feed the animals. The cottages are of a high standard and practically presented for peace of mind for young families; everything from cots to nursery plates are supplied.The countryside around is a beautiful patchwork farmland and woodland. There are picture postcard villages inland and by the sea, old fashioned seaside towns and bustling new shopping centres, ages old market towns, fishing villages and everywhere a warm welcome to all who come to visit.On the farm there are pigs, Lucky, Amber, Spot and their piglets to feed, as well as the lambs (bottle fed in April, May and June), ducks, chickens and rabbits. there are also ducklings, chicks and baby rabbits to look after, eggs to collect and perhaps the chance of seeing eggs hatching.There are pens to help to clean, straw, hay and water to give out. Feeding takes place twice a day, at 9am and around 5pm.Very often visitors find that the enjoyment of North Devon's natural attractions, the relaxing peace of the countryside and joining in helping feed the animals on the farm, is a complete holiday experience. There are, however, also many first class unique family attractions that either specifically entertain youngsters or have included popular child orientated activities.
