Glebe Cottage is a 400 year-old two bedroomed converted farmhouse which sleeps up to five plus cot. Full of character and history, the cottage is fully centrally heated and double glazed to provide you with all the comforts of home. Our on-site ceramic painting studio enables you to create your own souvenirs of North Devon! For the children, we have a well-equipped outdoor play area that includes climbing frame, slide, swings and trampoline, plus the loan of garden games. We offer a selection of games, magazines, novels, reference and coffee table books as well as a small children's library of books, puzzles, videos and DVDs. Our pets and livestock are also waiting to meet you! A welcome hamper is provided, which would typically include local free range eggs, local butter, home-made preserves, home-grown seasonal fruit, veg, herbs, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and ingredients to bake a loaf in the breadmaker provided (just add water!) The slate-floored living area has a wood-burning stove inside the old stone fireplace where crackling timbers will warm you on even the coolest evenings once you return from your day on the beach, walking the hills or cycling the Tarka trail. TV with freeview and DVD/video player and full and secure wireless broadband internet access is available too. A couple of stone steps take you into the fully-fitted kitchen area where you will find all you will need for a comfortable stay, including fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer and more. Upstairs are two bedrooms - one double and one with two/three single beds, and a fully-fitted bathroom. We supply all bedding and towels free of charge.
