The cottage is in the small village of Challacombe and there is a friendly local shop (with post office) and an Inn serving good food and real ales, both within a short walk (300 yards). There are excellent walks on the hills all around. Challacombe is ideally located to explore the spectacular north Devon coastline and the heart of Exmoor. THE GATEHOUSE is a two storey building with a large open plan living room and three bedrooms accommodating up to five people. There is a glazed door from the living room to a small private garden. The spacious living room has exposed beams and a log burning fire. There is a dining table and chairs, comfortable seating and a 21" TV with VCR/DVD/CD player. A glazed door leads out to a private garden. The kitchen area is fully equipped (including microwave, toaster and coffee maker). Upstairs are three bedrooms (a double, twin and single) and a bathroom with bath (electric shower over), hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. Heating is by electric storage radiators in the living room and the upstairs hall, by an instant electric heater on the half-landing and by an electric radiant heater in the bathroom.
