The 4 cottages (sleeping 2-5) are in a rural location surrounded by the undulating farmland and hedgerows of North Devon. The properties are on the edge of the village of Bradworthy and 3 miles from the border with Cornwall. The village square, with its shops, pub and tea rooms, is a 10 minute walk away. The cottages sleep up to 6, 4, 3 and 2. They share an acre of sunny gardens with a tennis court and lots of garden furniture and BBQs to enjoy the peace of this tranquil corner of North West Devon. The area is perfect for enjoying country activities such as walking, cycling, fishing and clay pigeon shooting, all of which can be arranged for our guests. The South West Coast Path, a long distance footpath can be reached easily and up to 80 miles of it can be walked from this location. The nearest sandy beach is 10 miles away. Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and Exmoor are all within 25 miles. There are also many historic houses, castles and other sites of interest in the area.
All the cottages are centrally-heated and have full facilities such as fridges, cookers, microwaves, washing machines, dish washers (in the larger two cottages), CD players, TVs and videos or DVDs. In fact, our guests tell us we really have thought of everything. The largest cottage, Lake House, is Victorian and has 1 double ensuite bedroom, 1 twin and 1 single. It also has a log fire in the lounge and a kitchen/dining room. Our two cottages called Swallow Barn and Nuthatch Cottage share a 300 year old barn conversion which used to be one of the village pubs. They have lots of exposed beams and lots of character. Swallow Barn sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and Nuthatch Cottage sleeps 2 (1 bedroom). Finally, Gardener's Cottage is a similar age and sleeps up to 3 in 2 bedrooms.
