Driftwood is a ground floor cottage with pretty bay window overlooking its own patio with barbecue, and the courtyard. Lounge area with colour TV/DVD  with divided dining area complete with new fitted kitchen [2006], cooker, dishwasher, microwave, etc. Bathroom with electric MIRA shower, WC.

Driftwood has a lovely four poster bedroom and one twin bedded room [Twins are 2 foot six inch beds]. The twin room is ideal for anyone who has difficulty walking as it is next to the lounge, and also people (and luggage!) can be offloaded at the door itself.  

Most cottages have their own patio and sleep from 2 to 8 people. Pets are welcome and Watermouth Cove offers direct access to the South West Coastal Path and the Tarka Trail. 

Watermouth Cove Cottages are set in the tranquil grounds of Watermouth Castle, 200 yards from the sea on the stunning North Devon coast. Self-catering facilities include dishwasher and microwave. All cottages have night storage heaters included in the tariff and the majority have log-burning stoves for those cosy, romantic evenings. Four-poster beds are an additional feature.

Within ten minutes walk there is a local pub and the picturesque village of Berrynarbor is also close by. Ilfracombe and Combe Martin are within a few miles and bustling Barnstaple is just 20 minutes drive away.

Watermouth Cove Cottages are an ideal base from which to explore either, the dramatic scenery of North Devon and Exmoor or, the attractions of the seaside ranging from the rocks and rock pools of Watermouth Cove to the wide sandy expanses of Woolacombe Croyde and Saunton beaches.

Things to do

Within a mile of Watermouth people can enjoy long coastal and woodland walks, fishing – sea, fly and course, swimming and playing golf. Boats can be parked at Watermouth Harbour and use made of the slipway. Within just a few minutes drive there is horse riding, karting and diving. North Devon also has a large number of family attractions including Watermouth Castle and The Wildlife & Dinosaur Park at Combe Martin. There are numerous arts and craft shops, museums and railways. Exmoor is also a haven for wildlife where visitors may see the famed wild ponies, red deer and birds of prey.
