Waterside and Sea Birds are very pretty cottages right on the rivers edge with glorious unrestricted views over the beautiful River Torridge which is tidal at this point. Both cottages have moorings for a boat. The back garden wall is the riverside wall and from the gardens and houses you can watch the boats on the river coming and going and even catch fish over the wall.

They have a living room, kitchen with washer / dryer, microwave oven etc. and a downstairs w.c. On the first floor are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and a 2nd w.c. and shower. The living room with TV and video has French windows giving onto the secluded back garden. The gardens have arbours with table and chairs for al fresco meals, as well as garden furniture.

The river views from the main double bedroom, the living room and the garden are very extensive and beautiful, giving views of the water, boats sailing up from the sea and sea birds. There is also a twin bedroom, and private parking. A delightful riverside promenade walkway for evening strolls leads from the garden gate, either go downstream on along the coastal footpath to Appledore and the sea or upstream along the river path into the town centre of Bideford, passing the public gardens on route.

Bideford is a really attractive little old town with a pannier market on Tuesdays and Saturdays, still a fishing port and departure point for the ferry to Lundy island, with a quay, a promenade, a traffic free shopping area, a medieval bridge, elegant Georgian houses, an  art gallery and museum, Golf at Royal North Devon links, several restaurants, a restored station with old trains and the Tarka Trail walking and cycling path going along the river to Torrington, Instow or Barnstaple.
