Located at the highest point in Trebetherick, Evergreen Lodge overlooks the Camel estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. It is a very well equipped family house with central heating, and an additional coal fire in the main lodge. Immediately opposite at St Moritz there is a restaurant, bar and new ‘Cowshed Spa’ with a pool and other facilities (booking advised). Within easy walking distance is the delightful and safe bathing beach of Daymer Bay and, an equal distance on the other side of the Greenaway headland, is Polzeath, with its renowned surfing school and beach. The house overlooks the famous St Enodoc Golf Course, with two 18 hole courses, and its historic church,the final resting place of the Poet Laureate, Sir John Betjeman.
Rock is only a short drive away, with its sailing club, water skiing and ferry (or water taxi by night) to Padstow,the home of Rick Stein’s Seafood and other restaurants. From Padstow, the Camel Trail takes walkers, birdwatchers and cyclists (cycles can be hired) up the old railway track-bed to Wadebridge and on to Bodmin. Trebetherick is an ideal location from which to explore Cornwall, its National Trust cliff walks and properties such as Lanhydrock, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, St Ives and even the Isles of Scilly And many other attractions for all ages. There is a small shop and bus stop just 3 mins walk away, pub 5 mins and a variety of shops, including mini supermarkets at Polzeath and Rock. Also Tesco deliver.
