The Farm House at Trelay Farm is 4 Star, and has an idyllic setting at the head of a wooded valley looking out over the rolling countryside of North Cornwall, and is a lovely cottage that has been renovated from an old farm building. This beautiful Farm House has been restored to a high standard providing immense comfort while retaining its traditional charm. Sleeping 8, the farm house comprises of 4 bedrooms - 2 double bedrooms (one of which boasts an enormous 4 poster bed) and 2 twin rooms. Two bathrooms, with bath and shower, a large lounge area with open fireplace, TV and DVD player - an ideal family room. The kitchen is fully fitted with all modern conveniences including a dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer etc as well as the more traditional Aga and a very spacious dining area. The garden is south facing with its own barbecue and garden furniture providing a delightful place to relax and unwind. There are thirty three acres surrounding the properties and from the fields, where visitors are welcome to walk, there are superb views across the Bude Bay. On a clear day Lundy Island can be seen, along the coast of this unspoilt part of Cornwall. On Trelay Farm there are sheep, calves, chickens, ducks, rabbits and peacocks. Visitors are welcome to observe and become involved, if appropriate, in the various daily and seasonal activities of the farm. The traditional Cornish farmstead of stone-built barns with slate roofs have been converted into 6 cottages, with care taken to retain the character of the old barns with open-beamed ceilings, stripped pine doors and pine staircases. All of the cottages have a bath with shower, TV, DVD player, stereo, garden with excellent quality furniture and barbecue 5 of the cottages have open fire places. Crackington Haven, the nearest beach is just 2 miles away. A beautiful sandy beach which is great for surfing, swimming or exploring the rock pools. For shopping and leisure facilities Bude is just eight miles away. There is a petrol station, post office, convenience store and lovely country pub which serves good food only 3/4 of a mile away from Trelay. On site we have laundry facilities, a farm shop selling meat, vegetables, jams etc. (Orders can be taken in advance).
