Converted barn containing two farm cottages. Both cottage units look out across the farmyard to beautiful countryside to the south. They are located out of earshot of main roads but you may hear the occasional tractor, the postman or birdsong, and at night there is often a view of the night sky seldom seen in built-up areas. A ten-minute walk takes you to the nearest bus stop, and a variety of village pubs and shops are within a couple of miles. There is a footpath to Pendower beach which links the farm to the South West Coastal path and many other footpaths in the area "Mallard" The smaller cottageOn the ground floor there is one double bedroom, one bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with bath/shower and toilet. On the First Floor is the living room, a combined kitchen and dining area and another toilet. "Shelduck" The larger cottageThe larger cottage has four bedrooms and sleeps seven. The bathroom with bath/shower and toilet is downstairs, together with three bedrooms: one twin, bedroom, one single and one with two single beds. On the First Floor is the double bedroom with en suite shower room, and a combined kitchen, dining and living room. Both with central heating, wood-burner, satellite TV, radio, video, microwave and dishwasher. Laundry facilities are also available. Bedlinen, towels, electricity, central heating and laundry facilities are included in the rental.Fitted with modern equipment : In the farmyard, in spring, you could have a grandstand view of our nesting barn owls as they feed their young. Many of our visitors enjoy the 25 minute walk across the fields to Pendower, a sandy swimming beach, where the Southwest Coast Path will take you east or west for miles and miles. In addition to our farm trail, there are many local walks, along the coast, along the River Fal, across the fields or along the lanes. Places to visit - The Roseland Peninsula The Roseland Peninsulais known for its unspoilt rural and coastal scenery with plenty of walks for all ages and good swimming beaches. St Anthony Head and lighthouse, the famous church at St Just-in-Roseland, the harbour villages of Porthscatho and St Mawes with the ferry across to Falmouth and other boat and fishing trips - all can be combined into interesting days out locally, without the need for a long drive. And if you prefer cycling, the farm is located on National Cycle Route 3, and we can provide information on other selected itineraries. There are many opportunities for getting for boat trips, such as ferries across the River Fal to Falmouth and other ports of call, boat trips up river to Truro,Trelissick Gardens and Smugglers' Cottage. There are also opportunities on the Roseland for all kinds of activities such as sailing, windsurfing and kayaking lessons, riding and tennis within five miles, and excellent golf courses within a half-hour's drive.
