Around the farm
You will find that there is usually plenty of space for children to play football or cricket, and grass or stubble fields where dogs can be exercised. Children are welcome to assist with feeding our rare-breed cows, ponies and chickens each morning, and collecting eggs later in the day. In late summer, visitors witness the barley harvest taking place.

The Lower Penhallow Farm trail and its leaflet are designed to show visitors most of the farm's fields, and a short walk will take you to our main wildlife pond. Depending on the period of the year, this attracts mallard, little grebe, Canada geese, shelduck, teal, swallows and swifts, moorhen, heron, warblers, buzzards, kestrels and occasionally visiting swans, and these can be observed from our hide, "Leisure Centre II".

In the farmyard, in spring, you could have a grandstand view of our nesting barn owls as they feed their young.

Many of our visitors enjoy the 25 minute walk across the fields to Pendower, a sandy swimming beach, where the Southwest Coast Path will take you east or west for miles and miles. In addition to our farm trail, there are many local walks, along the coast, along the River Fal, across the fields or along the lanes.
