Blanches Windsor, Lansallos - 2 miles along the coast to the West of Polperro.

Blanches is everyone’s dream - the classic coastal residences - Windsor is situated down a track, between the single lane coast road and the sea, some 2 miles West of Polperro. Lansallos is a beautiful coastal hamlet, known for its gracious 14th Century Church and the walk, lined with trees and wild flowers, down to the sheltered cove below.

Blanches is isolated, set in 3 acres, abutting National Trust land, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  It enjoys magnificent views looking South over the wide expanse of the English Channel. At night, the darkness is only punctuated by the sweep of the Eddystone Light and the silence by the distant gong of the bell-buoy, which marks the dangerous reef off-shore. Below the property, a path leads down to the shore and an almost unused "private" cove - a ten minute walk (Martin says!).

These adjoining coastal residences, with their superior accommodation, can be taken together to sleep 16 people in comfort or separately to form self contained and generous accommodation for up to 6 and 10 people.  The cottages are large but, out of season, they are priced for just two people.

Blanches Windsor

Blanches Windsor with its panoramic sea views, is entered through a solid Gothic door, giving access to a wide hall. There are Delabole slate floors, vast exposed timber beams and spacious rooms. Some of these rooms have high vaulted ceilings which give just that touch of baronial splendour, that is so absent from architecture today.

There is a great wood burner in the drawing room and another in the galleried hallway. Minstrels are an extra but you do have the decorative old church organ on the landing. This is a unique venue for that really special holiday, family party or other celebration. The accommodation consists of spacious kitchen/dining and drawing rooms, superb bedrooms and ample bath/shower/cloakrooms with three lavatories.There is central heating. 

Water supply is from a private spring - exceptionally some conservation may be required which will necessitate showers and restrict or prevent use of washing machines and dishwashers. This has not happened yet!

Each cottage has a coinphone except when, rarely, we require the lines.

Swimming pool at Lanlawren Farm is only about 2 miles (six minutes) drive away.
