Country Haven is a typical Cornish Barn, in a beautiful and secluded setting in the West of the County. For several centuries it was part of the working farm of Hallegan Manor and is built in the traditional style with granite and slate. The conversion was completed in May 2002 using modern materials and standards (such as underfloor heating and double glazing), which means that Country Haven is nice and cosy all the year ‘round’, whilst retaining much of the original character. It has been thoughtfully designed with the less mobile in mind.Visitors drive into their own enclosed patio area where they can park and off-load close to the main entrance to the cottage. This is a safe and secure area for children and dogs. Visitors enter up a ramp into the glass porch/conservatory area and then into the fully equipped kitchen/diner. There is a separate utility/storage area. From the kitchen you enter the front lobby off which is a ‘wet room’ (which is designated particularly for disabled visitors) and the spacious and comfortable lounge. There is underfloor central heating throughout downstairs with an additional gas fire in the lounge. You will also find colour television and video, plus a small stereo radio/CD/tape player.Upstairs can be accessed either externally by stairs into the sunroom or internally by stairs or a stair-lift (max 17 stones). Country Haven has one double bedded room with ensuite bathroom and one twin bedded room with ensuite shower-room. Colour T.V. in both rooms. There is ample space to accommodate four adults plus a baby in a cot. The central heating upstairs is provided by radiators.Country Haven is excellently situated for people who wish to explore the area by foot, bicycle or by road. We are equidistant from both coasts and about 20 minutes drive away from several beaches, harbours and the Coastal Footpath.
