Our luxury 3-bedroom self catering cottage (called "Agave" after the unusual and fascinating plants - which bloom once every 100 years and may be found nearby) is on the outskirts of Falmouth. It is available for holiday rental all year round and it holds a VisitBritain (previously English Tourism Council) 4 Star rating. This rating, based on an annual inspection, gives you the confidence that the cottage is comprehensively equipped to a high standard. Located less than 2 miles from the centre of Falmouth town, in a glorious landscaped conservation site of 16 acres, our luxury self catering holiday cottage offers flexible accommodation for up to 6 people. Located in a group of traditional style Cornish Holiday Cottages, built in 2004, there are 3 good sized bedrooms: 2 doubles (the master bedroom has an en-suite with shower, toilet and washbasin) and the third has two single beds that can be combined to form a large double. There is a large lounge and dining area, with widescreen TV, DVD and VCR. The extremely generous sized kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and a host of other items. The bedrooms are comfortably furnished, with quality beds, wardrobes and cupboards. Outside, on the patio, there is a BBQ, a table and seating for at least six. The whole cottage has been fitted out to create a real "home from home" environment to help you enjoy your stay! Pendra Loweth - Cornish for "Village of Gardens" - is tasefully and beautifully landscaped, holding the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award. Situated in a wooded valley, the site offers peace and tranquillity, whilst being a great area for children to explore. On-site facilities include a café/bar with broadband internet access, a laundry, an indoor plunge pool and Jacuzzi, an exercise/training room, a pool table, three tennis courts and a children’s play area. Falmouth sits where the Penryn River and the River Fal meet the sea. It is a perfect location from which to explore the whole of Cornwall. Falmouth has the third largest natural harbour in the world and is a hive of activity - a veritable sailor’s paradise. You can while away many an hour just watching the boats on the river, seeing anything from a small rowing boat to visiting liners and naval vessels. From the cottage, the nearest beach is at Swanpool, where there is also a freshwater lake with an abundance of wildlife. At the edge of the beach is the famous Three Mackerel restaurant serving great food and boasting the most spectacular views of Falmouth Bay. Maenporth is the best local sandy beach - ideal for building sandcastles! Just back from the beach is the Cove restaurant, from where you can marvel at the sea view. The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is a new focal point in Falmouth. It hosts a permanent display, with special exhibitions at various times throughout the year. Outside, there is direct access to the river and also the new Events Square. Full of history, there is Pendennis Castle, dating back to the time of Henry Vlll (with the smaller St Mawes Castle on the opposite bank of the River Fal). Within a short drive are some of Cornwall’s nationally famous attractions, such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Other, more local, gardens such as Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick are well worth a visit at any time of the year - there is always something different to see! Agave, Pendra Loweth is a non-smoking and pet-free self catering holiday cottage. Our tariff includes the hire of bed linen and towels. For More InformationVisit Property's WebsiteSpecial Features
