An historic, romantic cottage in the heart of the village within easy reach of places of interest and amenities. Kitchen/dining room with original Victorian fireplace, 1 double bedroom.and 1st floor lounge
This cottage dates from 1860 when it was built to adjoin the stable. Both buildings are now combined to make a surprisingly spacious 1 bedroom cottage.
The well-equipped kitchen on the ground floor has seating for 4, but we have hosted 6 here. The iron range at one end of the room, and the staircase at the other are both original. We have tried to decorate and furnish it in keeping with these.
Upstairs is the double bedroom with ensuite toilet, and we have converted the adjoining hayloft into a large and comfortable sitting room. This overlooks the garden and has further views over the village towards the Church.
Hannah's cottage is situated at the top of Back (Church) Lane and so is quietly placed away from the High Street. The village shop is just around the corner and there are 3 pubs within 5 minutes walk. The local tennis and squash club is at the bottom of Chapel Lane, opposite Church Lane. There are 5 golf courses within 8 miles and many National Trust properties less than a half hour's drive away.
Adderbury is famous among Morris dancers and has regular orchestral concerts in the village church.
We have now a group of visitors who return again and again and we feel this is the strongest recommendation we can give.
