Pine Cottage is a mid-terrace cottage built in the late 1800s in the tranquil North Norfolk village of Hindolveston, 15 minutes from Holt and Fakenham. the location is convenient for the coast, Blakeney and Wells-Next-the-Sea but without the crowds. Things to do...... Eating out in Norfolk is excellent- you'll be spoilt for choice from pub grub - gourmet, oriental - international, or specialty. Visit one of the local ceramic cafes and take home a unique piece of pottery and entertain the children at the same time. There is a wide choice of local retaurants in the surrounding villages and towns, the map link shows those listed in the Michelin guide. The coast is easily reached, allowing a choice of the high quality restaurants in Wells, Blakeney and Sheringham. This location is ideal to take advantage of all that North Norfolk has to offer. From stately homes, such as Blickling, Holkham andSandringham, to bird watching. Take a day at Pensthorpe, or Salthouse Marshes. Catch a sighting of a Honey Buzzard at Swanton Novers Woods NNR from the nearby Raptor Viewing Point. For walkers with more energy- there's Pedders Way & Norfolk Coast Path. We have books and leaflets for circular walks, or for the more adventurous walkers. Visit the country side access site or alternatively, you could rent a bike? Planned days out for the family could be- Dinosaur Adventure Park Lenwade, Hilltop Outdoor Centre Sheringham, Blackbeards Adventure Hunstanton, tanks in action at the Muckleburgh Collection Weybourne, to mention only a few. Railway enthusiasts will not want to miss the Bure Valley Railway, Poppy Line or the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway. If Arts & crafts are your interest, you can browse the many antique shops and galleries in the nearby Georgian town of Holt. Retail shopping therapy and history at Norwich with its department stores and castle. and You might wish to take in a show at the Madder Market Theatre. Whole days could be spent at the seaside amongst the dunes at Holkham, or the more traditional Sheringham with it's Splash Pool, or Cromer with it's summer pier show. A boat trip from Moreston Quay to see the seals and birds would also prove exciting. Artistic skills can be improved by taking the courses (from painting to paper making) available at nearby Kettlestone. North Norfolk has many idealic villages and churches, and many historic sites. Castle Rising, Walsingham with its shrine, Baconsthorpe Castle, Norwich Cathedral are also worth a visit. A bit further afield there is Kings Lynn, Ely or boating on the Norfolk Broads.
