York Cottage is a pretty beamed cottage situated within the heart of the village of Staple Cross which has a pub and a local shop. For garden lovers Sissinghurst, Great Dixter and Bateman's (Rudyard Kipling's home) are a short car journey. The ancient castles of Herstmonceux, Pevensey and Bodiam are also close by.
