The Granary An absolutely superb Granary - recently converted, furnished and decorated with excellent taste to a very high standard, located in the grounds of an ancient house, steeped in history, with origins dating from the 1300's, overlooking the beautiful pond (partly fenced) with resident ducks and the surrounding 10 acres of gardens, fields and paddocks.Parking is adjacent to the heavily beamed granary with access into the lovely open plan living area. The very well equipped full fitted kitchen area has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and automatic washing machine. A worktop/breakfast bar with unusual stools (imported from Thailand) devides the kitchen from the comfortable carpeted lounge area. There are two comfortable settees (one a sofa bed), stripped pine dresser, side table and many lovely extras - even the beautifully restored water pump from the original house's well, a colour TV and radio. A wide carpeted staircase leads up to the double bedroom, (lie in bed and enjoy the vaulted, beamed ceiling), furnished with wardrobe and chest of drawers - this room can be cleverly screened by a floor length curtain to maintain privacy from access to the second self contained bedroom which leads off. This charming room with 3ft single stacker beds, wardrobe and side drawers has the original hay loft door behind the window. The very pretty bathroom can be accessed from both bedrooms and has a bath with shower over, W.C., washbasin, shaver points and heated towel rail.Outside is a screened patio area with outlook to the pond, trees and shrubs which surround it. A barbecue and seating area is tucked away providing privacy and tranquility. (Due to the nature of the building and the proximity of the pond, children should be supervised at all time).The Granary is located adjacent to the Stables and therefore by means of a secure, lockable fire High Season Low Season Open All Year, Open at Christmas, Open at New Year House |
