An eighteen century barn, ideal as a base for touring, sightseeing,
walking and bird watching. The ancient city of Canterbury and
other historic towns are within easy reach. The coast of Kent and
East Sussex are under an hours drive. The accommodation sleeps 4
plus a cot. Two bedrooms, one double and one twin, well equiped
kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing
machine. (Tumble dryer in nearby building) Lounge/dining
room has a dining table and chairs, sofas colour television and
video. The beds have duvets and pillows. All necessary
linen and towels are provided. The bathroom has a bath with a
power shower over, hand basin and toilet. The airing cupboard is
off the landing. Electricity is included and night storage
heaters are in all rooms providing central heating. There is also
additional space heating in the lounge. This delightful 200 year old
barn has been converted to a high standard with all rooms being heavily
oak beamed and the bedroom windows being copies of the original oak
mullions with internal shutters. Good views across the Downs can
be enjoyed. The barn is situated in a large garden with secluded
area at the rear containing table and chairs. There is ample
parking, with one covered space and lockable storage for bicycles. The
Pilgrims Way and North Downs Way, long distance footpaths are nearby
including Wye Downs walk near the chalk Crown.
