Location
Brackla is situated in a quiet area of Sandown but very close to the beach, shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. The leisure centre is within walking distance which has an indoor swimming pool.
Sandown Railway station and bus stops are also close by offering regular communication to the Island’s towns and Fast Cat terminal from Portsmouth to Ryde. Sandown is an ideal base to enjoy the magnificent sandy beach with various water sports and seaside attractions. Broad seafront promenades lead to beautiful coastal walks with Culver Down having panoramic views of the bay.
The island offers numerous cycle paths and off road cycling trails. The Tiger and Big Cat Sanctuary and Dinosaur Isle are both a short walk from Brackla. Other attractions on the island include a steam railway, museums, vineyards, and Roman villas to name but a few. Brackla is an ideal base for all that a beach holiday offers or as a base to explore our beautiful island.
About Brackla Apartments
Resident Proprietors Walter and Lindsay offer all our guests a warm welcome to our Victorian property, Brackla, which is situated in a quiet area of Sandown but very close to the beach, shops, leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, restaurants/cafes and Sandown railway station.
Brackla has been superbly converted to three totally self-contained self catering holiday apartments. We have been awarded 4 stars by VisitBritain and for our guests comfort are totally non smoking. We welcome children of all ages and are open all year. Sorry no pets.
All our apartments are equipped for up to 2/6 people, furnished in a similar manner, and include full central heating, fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, colour television and video as well as a full compliment of cutlery and crockery. Laundry facilities are available on request and we have parking in our car park for all our apartments. We have a peaceful and secluded patio garden with a water feature and garden furniture making an ideal place to relax and unwind and enjoy a cup of tea or a cool beer.
Beds are made up for your arrival and cots, high chairs and pushchairs are available at no extra cost. Gas and electricity is included in the tariff.
