St Catherine’s Lighthouse is situated just outside the hamlet of Niton, approximately 10 minutes drive from the popular coastal resort of Ventnor, the southernmost point on the Isle of Wight. The site comprises of a terrace of 3 cottages, Gurnard, Landward and Penda. An attendant also lives on the site and there are guided tours of the lighthouse throughout the year. The volume of visitors will be negligible and should not invade guests’ privacy. The lighthouse grounds are enclosed with a wall, but young children should be supervised at all times. There is an excellent real ale pub a 10-minute walk up the hill.
