Number 32 dates from about 1860 and is located in the 'Old City' conservation area - 1 square mile of interesting character property that offers a lifestyle further enhanced by its proximity to the renowned Wykeham Arms, the Cathedral, Winchester College and the Water Meadows. At the rear of the house is one of the few remaining parts of the city wall that dates back from medieval times. When the property was purchased in 2004, its potential as a holiday home was realised because of its charm and position. This led us to spend 12 months fully refurbishing the house to bring it up to modern standards of contemporary 'city style' and comfort whilst retaining many of the original features that makes No 32 such a special place to be. The warmest of welcomes is assuredand we want you to feel you have really found a home from home. No 32 is ideal for couples or single family occupancy and will sleep 4 in 2 double bedrooms. On request, we can provide up to 2 further 'put-u-up' folding beds for the living room, meaning the house could then sleep 6. On entering the property the spacious open plan living/dining room and kitchen areas will have an instant impact. There are a TV and DVD player in the living area along with a stereo/CD player. There are also a stock of CDs and movies available for your enjoyment. An extra facility is the library of novels and local information for your use. A pay-as-you-go telephone is available for making outgoing calls and accessing the internet from your laptop. Our living area will comfortably accommodate 6 people and is adjacent to the modern fully equipped kitchen which has every possible convenience whether you want to cook a special meal at home or simply 'bed and breakfast' so that you can enjoy one of Winchester's more than 30 restaurants (the city is well known for its gastronomic delights).
