CROWHURST, BATTLE. Converted from old farm buildings, these 5 well-equipped cottages, situated on a farm in a tranquil rural area are ideal for exploring or relaxing. The peaceful surroundings with delightful views of fields, woodland and in the distance, sea, give the traveller all that is needed for a pleasant holiday base. We welcome children and pets who can make use of the large grassy play area and will enjoy the local country walks.Other buildings now offer stabling for horses and for those interested we also offer holidays for horse and rider. Plenty of rides are available on the farm or at Battle Great Wood. The South Downs or Camber Sands are a 35-minute drive away.Being in 1066 Country, local attractions include the historic town of Battle - with Battle Abbey and battlefields - and "Yesterdays'' World", and Rye, the ancient town on the hill, plus the interesting old castles of Bodiam and Pevensey. For garden lovers there is Sissinghurst, Batemans and Great Dixter. The seaside towns of Hastings, St Leonards and Bexhill will give the visitor a glimpse of our fishing heritage .Brochure available.
