If you’re feeling peckish, the local pub 'The Peacock Inn' is 400yds away where you can enjoy superb bar meals during the day and an a la carte menu in the evenings in a typical country setting.Uckfield has a main line station to London Bridge (90 mins) or only 45 mins to Victoria from Haywards Heath (12 miles) and a bus station/taxi rank. It has 2 supermarkets, leisure centre, swimming pool, cinema with 3 screens to show all the up to date film releases, over 20 eating establishments, two local riding schools, health club, various boutiques and quality gift shops. Lewes, the County Town of Sussex for its history (8 miles) and Royal Tunbridge Wells (12 miles) and for the beach and shopping, Brighton (16 miles) and Eastbourne (18 miles).
