On a small green opposite is a children's play area.The cottage provides an good base for exploring the excellent surrounding countryside. It is close to the Coast to Coast footpath and the Pennine Way. There are plenty of local castles, abbeys and the unique "Forbidden Corner". There is easy access to the northern cities.
