It has been refurbished to a high standard whilst retaining its traditional features with the original stone fireplace and the wattle and daub and oak beams in the bedroom.Very comfortable furnished the cottage is cosy and homely and has pleasant views over open countryside. Guests have access to the owners well tended, mature gardens and water feature. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area and badgers and deer are regularly seen along the lane to the cottage.The cottage is steeped in tradition, situated amid peaceful surroundings and next to the world renowned Stonyhurst College Estate and King Henry VII is reputed to have dined at the former hunting lodge which is now the owners farmhouse. In the heart of the Ribble Valley and in the Forest of Bowland it is an ideal base from which to explore this delightful area. There are many walks, including the Tolkien Trail, and cycleways within a short distance of the cottage. The historical market town of Clitheroe is 7 miles away and the Lakes, the Dales, Manchester and Blackpool within 1 hours drive.Accommodation: Ground Floor- Living room with dining and kitchen area, shower room, separate toilet.
