The Granary is one of our three cosy, award winning country cottages. Nestling in the rich arable farmland of West Lancashire we are only 2 miles from the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Martin Mere and just 5 miles from the elegant, victorian seaside resort of Southport. The Leeds - Liverpool canal is only 300 mtrs away and provides delightful country walks. There is fishing on the canal and, for the bird watchers, we have our own resident barn owls. All cottages have a 4 star rating. Built over a century ago and expertly converted in 1989, the Dairy, the Shippon & the Granary all lie around a cobbled courtyard with safe parking for 5 cars. The cottages range in size and each has its own distinctive style and character. Many original features have been retained whilst still providing modern, easy care facilities. With full central heating they are available all year round. All cottages have freeview TV with either dvd or vcr players. There is a good selection of books, toys, jigsaws & games for your entertainment. The ground floor of The Granary is open plan with a spacious lounge and dining area leading to fully fitted kitchen. The original barn doors have been replaced with a beautiful picture window. There is one double bed room with a cot and one twin bedroom. In addition there is a bedroom on the ground floor with adult sized bunk beds. The bathroom contains bath, separate shower unit, wash basin and w.c.
