At present the owners of this charming character cottage are planning a major refurbishment to prepare it for holiday use in 2005. Full details will be added as soon as the refurbishment has been completed - some new photos have been added already.Tiplog is in a picturesque rural setting in the area of Skelwith Bridge - it is reached down a long track from the road and the Cumbrian Way long-distance footpath passes the door. Delightful in any season the setting is ideal for an active or a relaxing holiday, there are many walks to be done straight from the door and a good pub at Skelwith Bridge just down the hill.Accommodation: Comfortable sitting room with beamed ceiling (gas fired log burner, TV and DVD). The dining/kitchen is newly fitted and well equipped with steps down into a useful storeroom and downstairs wc.Upstairs you will find two bedrooms - one with double bed and one twin. Bathroom (bath with shower, basin and wc). The cottage has many character features including beams, deep set windows and some original Lakeland flagged floors. Most rooms have fitted carpets. Country views from most windows.Outside: Parking for two cars alongside the cottage. Small front and larger side garden with table and chairs provided. Shopping in Ambleside. Village store in Chapel Stile and Elterwater.
