Located in a spectacular setting, Over Brandelhow (formerly called Fellside Cottage) is a 4 star semi detached cottage and sits on the slopes of Catbells facing south, with wonderful views over Derwentwater and down the beautiful Borrowdale Valley. Its so so peaceful! There is an abundance of birds and wildlife to watch, with red squirrels and woodpeckers being regular visitors to the garden along with the pheasants and numerous woodland birds. 

From Over Brandelhow there is direct access onto Catbells. A beautiful stroll down through Manesty Woods to Brandelhow brings you down to the lake, from here the ferry can be taken around the lake to Lodore or Keswick. The Allerdale Ramble runs across the fell behind Fellside cottage and takes you either to Grange or Portinscale. The location is perfect for magnificent walks either around the lake, over Catbells to Newlands or down the Borrowdale Valley towards Honister Pass.

The cottage hs sleeping facilities for up to six people in 3 bedrooms and offers the following accommodation: one double bedroom with direct access to the family bathroom (bath and separate shower cubicle) and a twin bedroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there is another twin bedroom that has a fully fitted en-suite shower room.

  There is also a large sitting room with woodburning stove (please note logs are not provided), there are lots of windows and french doors open onto the terrace offering fantastic views down the Borrowdale Valley. There is a well equipped kitchen with washing machine, microwave and fridge feezer. All of the heating and electricity is included so no additional costs to worry about. Over Brandelhow is Non Smoking.

There is a large terrace with garden table and chairs which in turn leads down onto the lawn, the view from here is absolutely fantastic! The picturesque village of Grange is about 1 mile away and Keswick approximately 5 miles, that is about a 15 minute drive around the lake. the launching of boats onto the lake can be done at Kettlewell or at the Marina in Portinscale. Fellside cottage is very spacious and easily accomodates a family or group of friends. Dogs are more than welcome although there is an additional charge of £20.00/week. There is also private parking. You can Relax on the terrace and admire the view in tranquil settings or hike the fells, it is all there right on the doorstep! Come and get away from it all, its an ideal spot !
