ACCOMMODATION - Banksprings Brewery is a Grade II Historic Listed Building that was formerly a working brewery, with unique and original external features, part of which has been converted to an attractive house. It is located in its own grounds with ample parking and a spacious walled garden that leads to a play area and an orchard.

Banksprings offers comfortable accommodation comprising of a large arched hallway inviting you into two reception rooms with open fires, one being of local brewery slate. Both rooms are cozy, giving you the choice to relax, listen to music or sit comfortably watching TV.

There is a large well-fitted bright spacious kitchen with dining area-giving access to the large enclosed drive in yard. There is a small utility room joining the kitchen and a tiled bathroom with an electric shower and a three-piece bathroom suite.

The staircase leads to a spacious landing where there are three large bedrooms. The master bedroom is bright and roomy with a double bed, an en-suite shower room and extensive views looking over Black Combe.

A middle bedroom has two single beds and washing facilities and also with panoramic views. Finally there is an extra large family bedroom with a double bed, two single beds and an en-suite shower room, this room has plenty of space and good views over Black Combe and the garden.

Electricity, coal and wood are all available free during your stay at Banksprings.

The property has excellent decor and comfortable furnishings, with full central heating (oil), double-glazing and roof insulation.

Facilities comprise of :-

An electric cooker with separate electric hob, a washing machine, a kettle, a toaster, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, an iron and board, cooking/eating utensils, crockery, tea towels, colour TV and video player, CD/radio player and soft furnishings.

Bed linen is provided and all of the beds are made ready for your arrival, we do ask guests to bring their own towels. Both a cot and high chair are available for you to use.

Surrounded by stunning views of the local fells and untouched coastline that has beautiful beaches, making an excellent base for walking, fell climbing, beach walks and studying local wildlife.

The location of Banksprings is ideal for visiting the coast, historic towns and the whole of the lakes with Coniston, Windermere, Ambleside and Wastwater all within 30-40 minutes drive. Enjoy the hospitality of local inns, play golf, enjoy pony trekking at nearby Silecroft, or the seaside village of Haverigg to explore the wonderful sand dunes and beach

The main town of Millom is situated 3 miles away where there are ample shopping facilities, a local train station, a museum and park.

Directions

Take the A590 and keep following the road through to Newby Bridge roundabout, keeping left.
As you approach Greenodd take the right turn onto the A5092 (Workington)
This road will climb over the fells into Grizebeck joining the A595 en-route, passing Broughton In Furness. Keep on the A595 do not turn off this road when you will eventually come to a T Junction, turn left and follow the road for 1 mile. Where the road narrows look for a sign for KIRKSANTON then passing two houses on your left.  On the approach to the level crossing take the first left to Banksprings Brewery.
