Charming two bedroomed cottage in the grounds of Woodlands Country House in a quiet fellside village away from the crowds.
Woodlands Cottage was formerly the stables attached to the vicarage in Ireby. The vicarage is now Woodlands Country House, a family run hotel and the cottage is located in the grounds of the hotel. The cottage is ideally located for discovering and exploring the northern Lake District - as yet unspoilt by traffic jams, and from Ireby the northern Lakeland fells, the Solway Firth, Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall and Scotland are but a short drive away.
The accommodation comprises a fitted kitchen, a large dining/living room with a wood burning stove and beautiful views, a double bedroom, bathroom and a further bedroom with full sized bunks or single bed. It is ideal for a family, or for two or three persons. The principle form of heating is night storage and the electricity is included.
At the side of the cottage there is a lawned area and visitors are welcome to use the hotel garden. We welcome well behaved pets. We have a comprehensive file of activities and attractions in the Lake District and we have many guests returning year after year who say there is always something new to see and do in the area.
Woodlands cottage is cosy, comfortable and well equipped and is an ideal base for exploring the Northern and Western Lakes and Fells and the South Solway coast. Ireby is small farming village situated within a half hour drive of both Keswick and Cockermouth.
Heating is by night storage heaters and a wood burning stove and all electricity is included in the rental price.
