Location, location, location…

Langdale View has an enviable location at the entrance to the valley with stunning views towards Lingmoor Fell and the Langdale Pikes. Thecottage faces due south and is an ideal base for touring, walking or climbing. You can enjoy the delightful valley walks, climb the Pikes, hike over to Grasmere, stroll along the river to Elterwater or Dungeon Ghjyll or take the local bus to other attractions. Travelling by car avoid the busy centres and take the back roads to Coniston, Hawkshead and the ferry to Windermere; or for real wilderness the Wrynose and Hardknott passes are close by and will lead you over the mountains to the little Eskdale railway and the sea!

Chapel Stile is a small quaint village boasting the friendliest Co-op in England that sells delicious local produce and almost anything you could need. For excellent food there is Brambles Café and Wainwright’s pub both in the village. The residence is set quietly a little further up the valley. There are at least 2 other pubs which serve delicious food are a mere stroll away. Further afield Ambleside has a huge variety of shops and restaurants. If you prefer to relax at home but don’t want to cook, Lucy’s of Ambleside will cater for you at home.
