Tucked away in a small hamlet, Nab End is a spacious barn conversion in the little known valley of Matterdale. Large sympathetically converted rooms, with exposed stone work and beams make this an ideal spot for groups. Attached to the original farmhouse, Nab End has a shared lawn area, rear yard area with decking and a small pond. There is ample parking adjacent to the barn for up to 3 cars. Whilst quiet and peacefully away from the main stream of tourist accommodation, Nab End is only 1.5 miles from the A66 which provides direct access to Keswick and Penrith. Ullswater is a picturesque 3.5 mile drive away, with access to Helvellyn from Glenridding. On entering Nab End from the car park, there is a light and airy kitchen recently fitted with cream units. The kitchen has a large tressle table with chairs and pew. The kitchen leads to a hallway with separate WC and access via a half-glazed door to the shared lawn. The large sitting room features the original barn doorway now as french windows. Sofas surround a large open fire, with an additional dining table to the rear of the room with further french windows opening on to a seating area by the pond. Across the hallway is a double bedroom with exposed stone wall and wooden floor, and featuring a king-sized bed. A family room across the landing features a rustic style double bed, a single bed and a set of full-size bunk-beds. High Season Low Season Closed at Christmas, Closed at New Year House |
