Chapel House is a lovely detached Northumbrian sandstone cottage tucked away down a tree lined drive. It has fantastic panoramic views of Slaley Forest and the North Pennine hills and overlooks three and a half acres of rough pasture which is being developed into natural wildlife habitat rich in wild flowers and bio diversity.

The Cottage has recently been completely renovated and whilst retaining its charm and character, is now fitted with excellent facilities for self-catering. There is an entrance porch with window seat for guests to enjoy the wonderful views and abundant wildlife.

The main living space comprises a comfortable sitting area with sofa and armchairs, colour TV, video, CD player and a log burning stove set in a large inglenook fireplace with natural stone hearth. The living-kitchen opposite features a dining area, ample cupboard and work surfaces, a larder fridge, microwave and an oil-fired Aga.
There is a good sized utility room complete with dish washer, small freezer, washer, drier and a separate downstairs WC. The open plan staircase leads from the living area to the upstairs landing accessing two spacious bedrooms with lovely views, each with hand basin - both can be either double or twin bedded rooms subject to your requirements being received in advance. There is also a good sized single bedroom with an over-bath shower and WC.
The cottage is light and airy and has excellent heating facilities from the Aga, oil-fired central heating system and the wood burning stove. All fuel, linen and towels are included in the price and there are no extra charges.

Outside is a lovely tiered garden, a lawn and several patio sitting areas. Car parking is plentiful and the location is secluded and peaceful-perfect for a wonderful holiday set in Hadrian's Wall Country and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.Chapel House is an ideal base for walking, cycling and is one of several Hexham Cottages in Steel which are ideal for staying in on holiday.
