Seahouses is situated on the magnificent North Northumberland coast-30 miles from the Scottish Border. The fishing harbour is flanked on either side to the north and south by miles of beautiful unspolit beaches. This cottage offers accommodation in a popular tourist location. Seahouses offers many amenities including an array of cafes, pubs and shops. Fishing trips and boat trips to the Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly. There is also a golf course on the links close by. Places to visit within an approximate ten-mile radius include: Holy Island, home of Christianity in the North of England. Bamburgh, with its magnificent castle dominating the village. The imposing ruins of Dunstanburgh castle. Craster, home of the world famous Craster Kippers. Alnwick, an ancient market town with yet another impressive ancient castle - home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, site of Harry Potter's Hogwarts School and Alnwick Garden. During your visit drive for twenty minutes and find yourself in the foothills of the Cheviots. Visit the scene of the battle of Flodden Field (Scene of James IV of Scotland's defeat in 1512).
