North Charlton Farmhouse is the heart of our 1700-acre farm and whenever you choose to stay with us one thing is guaranteed - our traditional northern welcome along with tea and home-made biscuits.The farmhouse, recently restored to its former glory, is beautifully furnished to a very high standard. The large dining-room has magnificent views towards the coast; the elegant drawing-room with its open fire overlooks the large garden. All of the individually furnished very large bedrooms have hospitality tray, colour TV, fresh flowers, comfortable seating and magnificent views, fresh flowers. Traditional Northumbrian breakfast, cooked on the aga, includes home-made preserves and free-range eggs.The farm, a mix of sheep, cattle and grain, offers you magnificent walks with an abundance of wild life and flora, including the large pond stocked with ducks and geese.Located off the A1, 5 miles north of Alnwick we are a perfect base for enjoying Northumberland's castles, coastline and countryside. Bamburgh, Alnwick, Farne Islands, Chillingham Castle and sandy beaches are within 10 minutes' drive. Slightly farther are Berwick-upon-Tweed, Cragside, National Park, Lindisfarne and Scottish Borders.
